Designed by John Barresi to be flown in light wind, light urban or indoor conditions, the Kaiju is an ideal kite to have on hand for guerrilla flying in many places you normally wouldn’t consider, a great kite to keep in the trunk of your car for an impromptu flight session wherever you happen to find yourself.
Looking at design through the eyes of a 20+ year veteran of indoor and urban flying, it was important for us to create a kite that is both forgiving and can be flown in indoor / extremely low wind conditions, as well as to allow pilots to enjoy kiting much closer to home such as in a front yard, courtyard or local park and other smaller spaces than we normally seek out with traditional kites – designed to be flown on short lines (7′-10′ x 50 lb recommended), the Kaiju will fly almost anywhere you want with help from our tutorials and a little bit of practice.
The Kaiju is gorgeous and wonderfully built, and *stunningly* eager to fly. Just getting it set up for the first time and hooking my fingers in the bridle to make sure everything was adjusted, it felt like it was ready to take to the skies then and there, even without lines. Assembly is also easy, even for beginners- and if you’re nervous about folding the wings again – the bag it comes in is long enough to easily support it at full length!
Great materials, top-notch build quality. Definitely a new challenge for me and the tutorial videos have been helpful getting started.
Great kite! You can tell that alot of thought was put into the design of the kite. Assembles with ease.
There is also some very helpful YouTube videos on (Kaiju) that I highly recommend, John does a great job at introducing the Kaiju to the user.
Will definitely be purchasing more from Kite Forge in the future! ????
This is a very well made kite. Seams and sewing are straight, tight, and even. Fittings are top quality. Recommended.
In addition, I also recommend the tutorial videos, as this kite has features that even experienced pilots may not be aware of.
Very attractive and light kite. I’m impressed by the build quality and I’m excited to learn to use it.
