Djuice

All Djuice quad line kites include a fully configured sail and components including bridle, one frame and a kite sleeve. We offer a very reasonably priced 75 ft Dyneema line set complete with beginner handles, or you can also choose to upgrade with a LaserPro spectra lines (30′-120′ 50# or 90#) and Pro Handles (13″ curved).

Our two Djuice models break down like this, for different winds:

• ST (standard) – no venting in the wings, for approx 3-12 mph (Dynamic 12 frame)
• VT (full vent) – double vent in each wing, for approx 7-25 mph (Dynamic 15 frame)

We’re a small boutique company and currently only offer the ST in blue and VT in red, but we do hope to add more color options in the future.

• Sync Bridle (modified for newer fliers)
  Based on the Djinn’s unique quad kite bridle designed by John Barresi, the Djuice bridle drastically reduces the dreaded “wing flip”, provides more built-in speed and inverted control while maintaining most of the familiar Djinn connection and load sharing between all 4 points of tension. Additionally, the greatest wear points on the bridle are done with simpler, easier to replace components.
• Bungee Knot Covers
  We wanted to make this quad kite as smooth and recoverable as possible, so you won’t find any exposed bungee knots anywhere on the kite, we’ve instead placed them inside the leading edge wingtips (without interfering with frame changes) and added covers to those knots and washers on the bottom wingtips, so these will no longer create snags in flight or during ground recovery.
• Smooth Leading Edge
  Using a T-Piece configuration and thoughtful placement of bridle components, the Djuice quad kite has no exposed end caps or knots along the leading edge, once again eliminating the usual snag points where lines get caught or hung up during flight or ground recovery, this also completely solves the issue seen on older designs where the leading edge end caps were wearing through both the material and spars.
• Perforated Leading Edge
  As our answer to the common issue of leading edge mesh breakdown and in the interest of keeping customer costs down, we’ve used an even spacing of leading edge holes to allow wind pass through when the kite hovers and flies in reverse.
• Stretch Strips
  Often referred to as “wear strips”, while they do certainly reduce friction and wear between the upright spars and the sail, the primary purpose of these components is actually to moderate and control the massive sail stretch and degradation that naturally occurs on many quad kites along the vertical spar due to repeated sail compression.
• Indented Outer Trailing Edges
  As you’ve seen by now, the outermost trailing edges of the Djuice quad kite are not cut in a straight line and have an inset angle applied to smooth out reverse flight which also helps with moderating the dreaded “bowtie” or single wing flip.
• Targeted Venting
  The vented model features high-porosity venting that has been strategically placed to preserve the trailing edge “grip” and leading edge loading while still moderating overall pressure and speed, this allows greater venting with less vent area and expands the overall wind range.
